Situated on the border between Lombardy and Trentino Alto Adige, surrounded by the mountain ranges of Adamello - Presanella, Ortles Cevedale and Brenta, the Pass of Tonale is a natural open amphitheatre with a panorama that evolves from 1,884 to 3,100 m. in altitude.
An excellent winter tourist resort, the Tonale Pass with the Presena Glacier always ensures a long season of snow. The Pass is the ideal gymnasium for learning to ski, completely exposed to the sun, with nursery slopes and much more. You are spoilt for choice!!! From the legendary "black piste" of Paradiso, 3 km in length with a drop of 710 metres, to the long and panoramic piste of the Alpino extending over 4.5 km with a drop of 725 metres. An absolute must is the direct route of Presena-Tonale-Ponte di Legno: An 11 Km slope with a 1,740 metre drop to ski down all in one go!!!
In summer, it is an ideal starting point for hikes, climbing expeditions and mountain bike trips along the trails of the Adamello Bike Arena.
